*Stage 2: Second Glance*
Here’s a song I wrote for one of my Gravitation projects, ‘Take Me Home’.

A simple smile is a miracle I’ll never forget

One with the skies you fly, high amongst the angels
As I am doomed to walk the earth, unworthy of hearing Heaven’s kisses
For so long I held myself back
Never wanting to shame the angels that had delivered you.
If you’ve seen the sun rise into a new day
If you’ve been granted a new chance at life
Then you can understand how difficult it is
For me to describe the one my soul lives for in meager words
Can you see the predicament I’m in?
Trying so hard to touch Heaven’s most sacred kiss?
Can you see how much I tremble
Whenever I feel the soft touch of Heaven’s first kiss
Can you see how much I cry
Thinking of how I have to let my angel go?
Even after everything I’ve done
Even after the tears I’ve brought from your eyes
I’ll never forget the first kiss
Even as time takes you away
I’ll never forget the way one feels
When one makes love to their heart’s mate
Time falls away, leaving me behind
But I’ll never forget the way I felt
When you first whispered the words
‘I love you’.
